Frequent questions about our CPD Programmes

Do I have to book over the web?

No – you can call us directly on 020 7347 3580, email your orders to taxseminars@lexisnexis.co.uk, or alternatively fax your order to 020 7347 3577.

 I cannot attend a seminar, can I send a colleague in my place?

Yes – all our event registers are complied by company name, so we will accept anyone from your firm not necessarily the person who booked the seminars. Prior notice is not required.

 I have missed my seminar – what are my options? 

1. You can attend the same, or an alternative, seminar at any other of our locations (notice is required*)
2. You can choose to use this place as a ‘credit’ and bring an additional member of staff to a later seminar (notice is required*)
3. You can request the course notes.

 (* 5 working days notice is required)

 I have not used all of my seminars can I carry them over to next year?

 All seminars must be used within the programme year within which they were booked. For example, if you book on the Cambridge 2006 scheme you must use these places by the end of 2006. If you have booked onto a 2006/2007 year programme all places must be used by July 2007.

 Can I pay by instalments?

Yes and at no extra charge.  We offer a Standing Order payment option (Direct Debit is not available).  The original booking must be over £250 + VAT for this option and is usually spread over 10 months. Please note that we reserve the right to reduce the number of month over which payment is made.

 If I book a scheme do I have to attend all 10 seminars?

No – you can re-arrange you places, for example, so that 2 people attend 5 seminars, or so that you attend seminars at multiple locations across the UK. We will require notice for this*.

 Can I cancel my booking?

You are free to cancel your booking free of charge within the first 3 months. All you will pay is £30+ VAT together with the standard seminar rate of £105 + VAT per seminar attended within this time. Cancellations will not be accepted after 3 months.

 Can I add to my order during the year?

Yes – should you require any extra places at any time you can order these by simply calling us on 020 7347 3580. Please note that you must use these places by the end of your scheme year.  They are not valid for 12 months.
